2021 Jeep Wrangler locally assembled launched in the Indian market, introductory price range starting from Rs 53.90 lakh ex-showroom.

 Mexican manufacturer today launched the locally assembled Jeep Wrangler in the Indian market. It is offered in two variants, unlimited and Rubicon, the former priced at Rs 53.90 lakh, and the latter priced from Rs 57.90 lakh (ex-showroom). As compared with the CBU route import price range, the 2021 Jeep Wrangler price drop Rs 10 lakh for their Rubicon top-end variant. This comes on the back of the company investing 250 Million USD in upgrading its local operations in the domestic market. The 2021 Jeep Wrangler assembled in the RanjanGaon production facility after being brought through the CKD route.

The Wrangle was one of the first offerings from the brand in the Indian market, but after it doesn’t go well in terms of sales, as on other hand Jeep compass performs extremely well for the brand and going on in its first generation till now. A few weeks ago, jeep launched the facelift version of the compass after a long time, and comes with some interior and exterior updates, although the new generation is still in the works. As per reports the manufacturer is planning on expanding their line up with three new products over the course of the next few years, which includes locally assembled Grand Cherokee, a compact SUV and a three-row version of Compass.

 The 2021 Jeep Wrangler facelift gets a host of updates as well like, a new Front fascia, updated signature vertical grille, Sturdy bonnet structure, tall Pillars, newly designed 18-inch alloy wheels, removable doors, and roof, etc. The interior features a huge touchscreen infotainment system that supports android auto and apple car play, Uconnect technology, a new Audio system, and so on. Although, there are no mechanical changes have been made, the 2021 Wrangler still continues to use a 2.0 Litre DI petrol engine. The units are capable enough to generate 268 HP of maximum power at 5,250 Rpm and 400 Nm of peak torque. The engine is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission gearbox, delivering power to both the axle.
