Hyundai has been performing pretty well even in these past few months of hardships where most of the sales of companies were on a steep decline, the carmaker only registered a decline of 40-50% which when compared to other companies is quite low. As the market is getting back on track, the sales are also moving at the same pace, although the numbers aren’t as good as pre covid 2nd wave but are on an up curve. Hyundai sales got a massive jump of over 100% in June 2021 compared to that of June 2020. Last month the company sold 54,474 units against the sale of 26,820 units in the same month last year. However, the number 54,474 comprises both Domestic as well as Export products.
The Domestic sales last month stood at 40,496 units compared to the sale of 19,176 units in June 2020, creating a difference of 19,176 units translating to almost 90% growth as compared to last year. While the export also registered a massive growth of about 155% when comparing the sale of 13,978 units in June 2021 to the sale of 5,500 units in June 2020 creating a difference of 8,478 units. The best seller amongst all the Hyundai cars where the Creta followed by i10 Nios, Venue, i20 and even the newly launched Hyundai Alcazar.
If considering the sales on an MoM basis then also the carmaker registered a decent growth of 62% when compared to the domestic sale of both June 2021 which stood at 40,496 and May 2021 which stood at 15,495.
Last month the Hyundai group consisting of both Hyundai and Kia Motors were able to over through the dominance of Maruti Suzuki which has been ruling over the auto sector for the longest of we know.
