Hyundai Motors India limited posted a double-digit sales growth in Feb 2021, courtesy of New-Generation Creta, venue, and 3rd Gen I20.

Hyundai Motors India limited garnered a cumulative sale of 61,800 units last month, which comprises Domestic sales and Exports as well. Hyundai currently is the second largest passenger vehicle manufacturer in the domestic market. Hyundai finished at the second position in overall manufacturer sales last month, behind Maruti Suzuki. The brand gained 26.4 percent sales growth as compared with the same period last year in Feb 2020. The largest exporter passenger car gets a positive sales growth in export part as well in Feb 2021.

The South Korean manufacturer started this momentum with the launch of New Generation Hyundai Creta and compact SUV Venue last year. The Venue and Creta posting amazing salsa numbers month in month out, which is the main reason for the brand to see these two digits growths almost every month. While Grand I10 and New Generation I20 were launched just a few months ago in the Hatchback segment and helping the company in maintaining consistent growth every month. Although, Mid-Size SUV Creta was the best-selling vehicle of the segment last year.

Domestically Hyundai has sold 51,600 units in Feb 2021 against 40,010 units in the same period last year in Feb 2020, with a year-on-year positive sales growth of 29 percent. On the other hand, exports stood at 10,200 units last month as against 8,900 units in the corresponding period twelve months back in Feb 2020, with a 14.6 percent year-on-year positive sales growth. Talking about their future projects, the brand is gearing up for their New global premiere of Alcazar 7-seater SUV in Mid-2021. It will be a 3-row version of Mid-Size SUV Creta, taller and bigger. Alcazar will directly rival the likes of New-Gen Mahindra XUV500 and the recently launched Tata safari. Alcazar expected to powered with 1.5 Litre petrol, 1.5 Litre Diesel, and a 1.4 Litre turbo petrol, with an option between manual and Automatic transmission.
