Hyundai after a long series of teasers has finally revealed its much-awaited N performance variant of the Hyundai Kona, which will be joining its N performance brother the Hyundai i20 N, i30 N and Veloster N. however, Hyundai hasn’t launched any of its N cars in the Indian market till date. Now coming up to how is the N variant different from the regular Hyundai cars. To answer this in plain words, Hyundai’s N sub-brand goes all for performance, they change the engine and most of the hardware of the car with the more powerful ones.
Coming to the juicy stuff, the Hyundai Kona N is powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine producing a max power output of 276 hp, which is further increased by 10 hp by N grin shifters and a maximum torque of 392 Nm, this all power is generated via 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission unit and this unit is further fine-tuned to give the car a seamless and overall flawless performance the car also comes with bigger 19-inch forged wheels equipped with an electronic limited-slip differential. This much power can make the Kona N sprint from 0-100 in just 5.5 seconds with a top speed of 240 kph.
Talking about the design and features of the new Hyundai Kona N, the gets a reinforced structure for better safety and durability, a new front grille, side skirt, front spoiler on the bonnet, a red accent at the lower edges of the car. at the back, the car rocks a new triangular shipped brake light, double-winged rear spoilers, dual exhaust, and some additional minor updates as well.
As for the interior, the car gets new sporty seats that suit the N variant, a blue accent, new animations for different modes, new 3 spokes sporty steering wheel, a 10-inch infotainment system with various connect features, and a fully digital instrument cluster.
