Hyundai Kona Electric is a fully-Electric subcompact crossover SUV launched in India in July 2019.Hyundai ioniq being the first and Kona being the second electric vehicle from India while first in India. This car gets all and even more features than its Petrol and Diesel Variants. The car gives the futuristic enclosed look having DRLs right below bonnet and projector headlamps at the side of front bumper. Its front grille is redesigned to integrate charging point with smaller mesh as EV motor won’t require that much air. Rear bumper is also redesigned to cover silencer area. Not just design, Hyundai has also worked on its safety as it achieved 5-star in Global NCAP crash test.
This car is available with 39.2 KWh and 64 KWh battery pack. On 39.2 KWh battery pack, its motor generates 133-bhp providing maximum range of 300 km and requires 6 hour for full charge. On 64 KWh battery pack, its motor can generate upto 201-bhp covering a range of 500 Km on a single charge and requires 9 hour for full charge. Currently In India, only 39.2 KWh battery pack model is available for Rs. 23.83 lakhs having a dual tone variant at Rs. 24.07 lakhs.
