Hyundai came in the top mass manufacturer brand in the Indian market, and as expected in December 2020 the brand sales grow by 25 percent.

Hyundai Motor India Limited has managed to sold 47,400 units in the last month of 2020, against 37,953 units in the same period in 2019, with a huge 25 percent positive sales growth year-on-year basis. Yet again entry-level compact SUV venue leads the way with over 12,313 units sold against 9,521 units in December 2019, with 29 percent positive sales growth, within the company domestic range. Last year launched new generation Hyundai Creta finished at second position with, 10,592 units against 6,713 units in December 2019 with a massive 58 percent increased in sales. Ever since the launch of New-gen Creta in march 2020, it always finished at the top position in the Mid-size SUV sales chart every month beating Kia Seltos, Tata harrier, XUV500, and son on.

Also, Creta posted the highest domestic sales volume for SUV last year and continues the momentum in 2021. The third position in the tally gained by the Hyundai grand i10 Nios with 10,263 units against 7,598 units in December 2019 with a massive 35 percent year-on-year sales growth. The 3rd generation Hyundai i20 was debuted just a few months back, since then the car gaining more and more popularity which can be seen in the sale figures. New-gen i20 finished at fourth place with over 8,004 units against 7,740 units in Dec 2019, with a mere 3 percent year-on-year sales growth.

The Hyundai Aura compact Sedan which was launched as a replacement for Xcent finished at fifth position with 3,113 units against 1,139 units in Dec 2019 with a 173 percent surge in sales. Despite being the most affordable offering from the brand Santro doesn’t post good sales figures, as only 1,960 units were sold last month, as against 3,820 units in Dec 2019 finished at sixth position. Hyundai Sedan Verna finished at seventh position with 1,036 units against 1,295 with 20 percent De-growth. The Tucson and Kona only manages to sell, 80 and 24 units in last month and finished at eighth and ninth position. Out of which Hyundai only electric offering Kona finished with 100 percent positive sales growth. While their flagship sedan Elantra finished last in the tally with just 15 units in its name.
