Hyundai Creta is the most successful SUV car of the year 2019 as it sold about 1Lakh unit in India and is still on the charts as the top 5 in 2020 with its new facelift version. On the other hand, Hyundai venue can be said as a smaller version of the Hyundai Creta with less feature and smaller size and so as its cost with a difference of approx. 2 Lakh though it has given a tough competition to everyone seeing the sales charts. So now the question arises, should you spend extra cash for Creta or settle with the venue.

Dimension Comparison

As can be seen from the photos there is a wide difference in the size in every aspect be it the length, width, etc. here is an exact comparison to it –

DimensionsVenue2020 Creta
Fuel Capacity45 litres50 litres
Length3,995 mm4,300 mm
Width1,770 mm1,790 mm
Height1,605 mm1,635 mm
Wheelbase2,500 mm2,610 mm

One can clearly see the difference here, the 2020 Creta quite bigger in comparison which makes it look more premium and ahead venue’s class.

For the design aspect, the 2020 Creta may seem a bit old-fashioned as the changes of the 2020 Creta maybe not much different than the old Creta but having a size difference makes a big difference as compared to the venue. Both the cars carry a different version of the grille and distinct day LEDs. Creta offers a 3 LED projector setup that gives better lighting than the venue’s halogen projector headlamps.
Other than these changes all features are almost similar with the exception of dual-tip exhaust which only comes is the Creta turbo petrol variant.

Interior comparison

Both Hyundai Creta and Hyundai venue comes with jampacked features which make them stand out from other models of their range, but here the Creta excels the venue by a margin as it comes with some features which are not included or are no comparison with the later.

The new Creta comes with two dual-toned interior themes

  • The less sporty dual-toned black beige
  • All black interior with red accents and red stitching

Whereas the venue comes in an all-black interior that may seem a bit dull to some people.

The 2020 Creta also excels in the touch screen display section where it comes with a 10.25-inch infotainment system whereas the Hyundai venue comes with a tad bit smaller screen of 8.0-inches. The other featured included in the 2020 Creta are-

a panoramic sunroof with a voice command to open/close the sunroof, air purifier system, electrically adjustable driver seat, top-notch BOSE sound system, electric parking brake as well as live audio updates on the go.

The Hyundai venue comprises a standard power sunroof, power windows, air purifier, tilt steering, rear AC vents, steering mounted controls for music, height-adjustable driver seat.

Safety Features comparison

Here we do not see much of a difference between the two as Hyundai is well known for its safety and the same can be seen in both these cars, each car comes with six airbags in addition to curtain airbags in the top-spec variant. Other than this feature these cars come with other common safety kits like ABS, EBD, ESC, VSM, Hill Assist Control, rear parking sensors, speed sensing auto door lock, and many more.

Engine comparison

Both the cars come with 2 petrol variants and 1 diesel variant. It is quite obvious that bigger the car is better will be its engine

Price comparison

The 2020 Creta sits in a different segment that is a bit above the venue, so will cost you a bit more than the Hyundai venue. So the 2020 Creta ranges around Rs 11.4-20.3 Lakhs on-road price whereas the venue will cost u around Rs 7.53-13.61 lakhs on road.

Our Final Verdict

If you look for a value for money car then hands down Venue should be your pic as it outclasses every other car in its segment but if you have a few lakhs more in your pockets then you should go for the new 2020 Creta which will give you a more premium feel and much more features. But if you are thinking of comparing the top variant of the venue with the lower or base model of Creta, then you should stick to the venue unless you desire more space and are not concerned with the features.
