Honda City 2020 has been in the market for more than two decades and has gotten many facelifts since that time. The current Honda City is in its fifth generation and from seeing the sales figures we can clearly see the dominance of the car in the market. The new Honda city outclasses both the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz and The Hyundai Verna combined in sales.

The current time is the time of SUVs, where every other carmaker is introducing a new or facelifted version of their SUVs. The Sedans feels left out in the current scenario; however, Honda City is turning out to be the game-changer here with having sales like no other sedan in the market. Honda City was first launched in 1998 and since that some this car has always shown good sale be it any generation, same goes of the current generation.

If we look at the actual sales numbers the new Honda City sold a total of 3523 units all over India in November 2020 whereas the earlier version sold only 1500 units last November which makes it a massive 135% YoY growth. When comparing to the other two cars, The Maruti Suzuki Ciaz and the Hyundai Verna both made a sale of 1870 units for the former and 1487 units for the later combining to a total of 3357units which is 166 fewer units sold than the Honda City.

The Honda City as for now comes in two engine variants the 1.5-liter four-cylinder petrol engine that is capable of producing 120PS of power and a torque up to 145Nm that comes coupled with a 6-speed manual or a CVT automatic gearbox. It also comes in a 1.4-liter four-cylinder diesel engine which can produce up to 100PS of power and 200Nm of torque, coupled with a 6-speed manual gearbox. The interesting thing to know is that the car also comes with a couple of paddle shifters.
