Honda Cars India Limited (HCIL) is a Indian subsidiary of Honda Motor Corporation, Japan. Established in 1995, Honda made a commitment to provide latest models of passenger cars to the customers in India. The Company established their first production plant in Greater Noida covering as area of 150 acres. Initial production capacity of that plant was 30,000 vehicles in 1997. Later in 2008, the production is expanded to around 100,000 vehicles annually. The Japanese automaker made its name in Indian market with good sales and after-sales service and customer support.

As per the company’s commitment, HCIL launched a lot of premium cars with latest technology which received a lot of attention of the customers. The first car that was launched in India from HCIL is the well-Known Honda City. Company launched this premium sedan in Indian Market in 1998, since then this car has received many updates. Currently, the fifth generation of this car is in the market. This car was a piece of art in terms of class and features and ran its course being one of the best car of its segment. Also, this car received a lot of awards and best car of the year awards and simultaneously the company climbed the ladder of success achieving the position in the market it has now.

In 2006, Honda introduced Civic in the Indian market which maintained its legacy in India as well and its new generations are still being retailed in the market as of now.
