Hero moto-Corp India’s prime two-wheeler maker, the homegrown automaker managed to outsell all the two-wheelers manufacturer yet again. Hero-Corp biggest two-wheeler manufacturer done it again and maintain their position at the top of the sales chart this festive season as well.
- Over 3.15 lakhs splendor units sold
- Total of 7,91,137 units sold by hero-Corp last month
- Splendor ranges from Rs 60,690 lakh – Rs 72,950 lakh (ex-showroom)
Hero moto-Corp out of all the bikes they sold and have in the market, splendor is the oldest as well as the most popular nameplate for their company. Yet again Hero-Corp manages to sell 3.15 lakh units of splendor in the month of Oct 2020 alone, and when compared with last year same month the said bike has a 19% positive growth in sales. This suggests that splendor plays an important role in Hero-Corp to be at the top of the two-wheeler sales chart last month. These amazing numbers help Hero-Corp to be the two-wheelers market leader in terms of sales that the brand has, and it also helps Hero-Corp market share went up and around from 33.40percent in October 2019 to 38.52 percent in October 2020. As for now, Hero-Corp has three different offerings for splendor range namely, splendor plus, super splendor as well as splendor i3Smart (auto ON and OFF).
The splendor i3Smart makes use of a 113.2 cc air-cooled motor which generates 9.15 PS of power and 9.89 Nm of peak torque at 5,500rpm. On the other hand splendor plus has, 97.2cc air-cooled, 4-stroke one-cylinder, generates 8 PS of power, and 8.05 Nm of peak torque at 6,000rpm. The super splendor comes equipped with a 124.7cc air-cooled OHC engine that generates, 10.87 PS of power and 10.6 Nm of peak torque. Splendor i3Smart and splendor plus mated with 4-speed transmission system and super splendor equipped with 5-speed gearbox setup.
The splendor plus ranges from Rs 60,960 lakh to Rs 64,470 lakh, while splendor i3Smart ranges from Rs 65,950 lakh to Rs 68,150 lakh. Lastly Hero-Corp retail super splendor Rs 69,450 lakh for drum brake trim and Rs 72,950 lakh for disc brake trim.
