Ford F-150 lightning first electric pick-up truck from the brand, leaked online ahead of its official debut in few days, with a claimed driving range of over 500 km.

Just a few days ago Ford releases the trailer of F-150 lightning’s first-ever pick-up truck. Ford officially announces the F-150 IC engine electric version with few exterior and interior updates. The F-150 lightning global debut is going to take place today at 12:00 EST, on bigger billboards like in New York. Now few sets of images of the upcoming first electric pick-up truck F-150 lightning ahead of its launch, during the US president Joe Biden’s visit to the Ford river rouge complex-an an EV factory built with USD 700 million investment. The electrified pick-up truck can be seen behind Biden alongside the IC-engine F-150, along with few old vehicles.
The new F-150 lightning will get the updates inside out compared with IC powered engine pick-up truck. As for exterior it gets, redesigned front fascia with vertically upright new headlamp cluster, a strip of LED lighting bar surrounded by headlamp and grille. The truck has a wider air intake with chrome finished, along with a blackened unit in the F-150 with a prominent oval badge grafted in the center. The outside rearview mirror, and raked windshield look similar to the IC-powered F-150. The leaked model images appear to be crew cab version and it could be shorter 1676 mm bed length than the regular F-150.
The newly designed F-150 lightning six-spokes wheels are another highlight of the zero-emission version of F-150. The pick-up truck is expected to be offered with a dual electric motor setup and sending power to all four wheels. The brand has claimed that the electric version truck is quicker and more powerful compared with an IC-engine truck, courtesy of a heavier battery pack. For reference, regular IC-engine F-150 offered with 3.3L V6, a 2.7L V6, a 3.5L V6, a 3.0L V6 diesel, and a 3.5L V6 hybrid engine. Upon the launch, the pick-up truck will compete against GMC Hummer EV, tesla cybertruck, and Rivian R1T.
