2021 Ford Equator 7-seater SUV unveiled for the China Market and will go on sale from 28th March 2021.

In the Chinese market, the global brands have joined hands and built a seven-seater SUV, especially for the Chinese market. The joint ventures are mainly for the production and distribution of models. It is now seen in every automobile market that the global brands joining hands with the local manufacturer for producing new products for that particular market, some get long success but some don’t. The global Brands Sales volume is largely impacted by the market scenario that exists in China as well. Today, the blue oval has revealed a three-row SUV for China Known as the equator.
The Equator is built in a joint venture between Ford and the local manufacturer of China Jiangling. The car measures 4905 mm in length, 1930 mm in width, 1755 mm tall, and has a 2865 mm Wheelbase in length. It is bigger than the endeavour globally known as Everest but slightly smaller than the family SUV Explorer. The three-row SUV will directly rival Jeep Grand Commander in the Chinese market. The Exterior design elements of Equator includes, U shaped Chrome grille with chrome inserts, a Split LED headlamp, LED DRLs, tri-beam headlamp straddling on the bumper, a large greenhouse with tall pillars, dual chrome exhaust pipes, Front and rear skid plates, larger central air intake, Upright Boot and so on.Ford Equator 7-seater SUV.
On the interior, the ford Equator comprises advanced upright market features like 12.3-inch one for touchscreen infotainment and one for the instrument cluster, dual-tone theme, wooden trims, individual armrest for the middle row, quilted dashboard stitching, leather seat upholstery, and Multi-functional steering wheel. The car powered with a 2.0 Litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol EcoBoost technology and it delivers a maximum power output of 221 HP and 360 Nm of peak torque. The powertrain is paired with a standard 6-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission gearbox, that delivers power to the front wheel as standard. All-wheel Drive configuration comes as optional.
