This is not the first time Ford has raised the prices of its cars this year, actually, it’s the second time the company has done so, which also goes for its best-selling car, the Ford EcoSport. The car was first showcased in the Auto Expo way back in 2012 and after its launch in 2013, the car hasn’t gone through any major changes to date, except for a mild facelift in 2017. Every EcoSport variant got a Rs 20,000 hike, be it the petrol or Diesel variant, excluding the Ford EcoSport Titanium diesel variant which still is priced at Rs. 9.99 lakh with no increment.

Talking about the engine options, the Ford EcoSport comes with 2 powertrain options, the first being the 1.5-litre Naturally Aspirated petrol engine, producing a power output of 122 PS and torque of 149 Nm, mated with a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission gearbox. And secondly, a 1.5-litre diesel engine, producing power of 100 PS and a torque of 215 Nm, comes mated with a standard 5-speed manual transmission gearbox.
