Fiat discontinued the Punto nameplate from the international market a long time ago and replace it with Argo for the Latin American market and not for the European market back in 2017. Recently, Fiat has unveiled its new cross over SUV for the Brazilian market, and the interesting fact is that as of now they are calling it a fiat SUV, but FCA seeks the public to decide the name of the SUV from the given option on its official website – Tuo, Domo, and Pulse. The SUV was codenamed as Progetto 363, 5-seater SUV.

Out of the given three names, the one getting most of the votes will be selected for the SUV, launching in brazil in the coming months. It looks like a clever marketing technique from the brand to targeting people and giving the power to decide the nameplate. It will go on sale later this year and after that to the South African market and other countries, where the SUV body style becoming popular. As for the design elements, the SUV is influenced by the Argo and Cronos siblings, and features a black roof, dual-tone alloy, LED lights, skid plate, aggressive cladding, and so on.

As for the performance, Fiat SUV comes powered with two powertrain options – a 1.0 Litre three-cylinder petrol engine based on the firefly mill. The engine develops 125 HP of maximum power and 200 Nm of peak torque when mated with 6-speed AT. The second is a 1.3 Litre three-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine, which belts out 109 HP of maximum power and 139 Nm of peak torque when mated to a CVT (Continuous variable transmission) automatic gearbox system. The Yet to be named fiat SUV built on a new MLA architecture. However, Argo and Cronos based on the MP1 platform, and the correlation between the two platforms still unknown.
