The entry-Level segment has always attracted a major portion of the sales in the Indian car market, as these cars have always the first choice of a common man. However, this is not the case for this month as the sales of May 2021 arrives, a massive drop in sales of these cars is to be witnessed. These cars just 2 weeks ago were amongst the top-selling passenger cars of the month but now they have been replaced by Compact SUVs in terms of sales. To display this huge dip in sales of Entry-level cars, here is the list of Entry-Level segment sales in May 2021.

The best-selling Entry-Level car of May 2021 is the Maruti Suzuki Alto, which managed to sell a total of 3,220 units compared to a sale of 17,303 units in April 2021, which translates to a massive MoM decline of 81%. The second best-selling Entry-Level car of May 2021 was another Maruti Suzuki entry, the small wired shaped S-Presso which managed to sell a total of 1,540 units compared to the sale of 7,738 units in April 2021 resulting in a massive MoM decline of 80%. The most affordable Renault car, the Renault Kwid garnered a sale of 738 units last month, against the sale of 3,236 units as in April 2021, which also made a massive sales drop by 77%. And lastly, the not so popular Datsun Redi-GO sold a total of only 22 units compared to 346 units in April 2021 which also had a massive sales drop of -94%.
