Citroen French manufacturer currently working on developing CC24 SUV especially for the Indian market, which goes on production in 2022.

Citroen French carmaker making its long-awaited debut in the Indian market with, C5 Air cross, although it is not officially launched the SUV has reached many dealerships in India. Citroen C5 Air cross launch Schedule for this month itself. The Manufacturer also planning on introduces many new products in the market after the launch of the C5 Air cross. According to the Economics times report, the company planning on launching many new products from next year onwards, in which one could be the Mid-Size SUV segment which directly rivals Hyundai Creta, and Kia seltos. For the aggressive pricing, its production expected to take place locally in collaboration with Jeep motors India Plant.
The Citroen Mid-Size SUV referred to as CC24, its production is scheduled to begin from June 2022, and plans are to produce 2,200 units of CC24 every month. Following the launch of any product from Citroen CC21 Sub-4m compact SUV. As the reports are coming the brand is mainly focusing on the SUV-centric approach for the Indian market, which is quite good as current customers are mainly focusing on SUVs in the Indian market. In recent times, the popularity of SUVs among Indian buyers has been rising steadily, and brands like Kia, Hyundai, and MG have taking lots of advantage by launching new Segment SUVs and which helping the brand to increase their sales volume and market share.
Citroen currently opens 10 dealerships across India and this number likely to increase to 20 in the next 2 years. The Brand has mainly focused on digital platforms and mobile outlets instead of physical showrooms. Many automobile experts believe physical dealerships are necessary for small towns as well. We just have to wait for how the Citroen dealership’s plans turn out to be. As per reports, the manufacturer is going to start exporting as soon as production starts, and the domestic retail numbers are quite small compared with Export numbers, it could only mean that Citroen sustains itself through exports initially. Following C5 air cross, CC21, and CC24 SUV, the brand likely to enter in sedan segment as well, which is referred to as CC26, the new product will directly rival Honda City, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, and Hyundai Verna.
