BMW M 1000 RR launched in the Indian market, with the starting price of Rs 42 lakhs. No mechanical changes have been made.

BMW Motorrad M 1000 RR launched in the Indian market, priced at Rs 42 lakhs. The BMW M 1000 RR was globally unveiled in September last year and based on the highly popular product S 1000 RR sportbike. Although the M performance department is responsible for making high performance, high end, and really super-fast cars, hence the new M 1000 RR motorcycle could carry the same heritage of BMW m-performance beasts. The M 1000 RR offered a basic color, light blue, dark blue, and red stand for M, underline the dynamic design language and the racing genes of the M RR.

BMW Motorrad M 1000 RR powered with the same engine as in the S 1000 RR, although many performance changes can be seen in the new M 1000 RR compared with the standard one. The Changes include litter connecting rods, slimmer and lighter rocker arms, a fully machined intake port with new duct geometry, and so on. The Standard S 1000 RR powered with a 999cc four-cylinder liquid-cooled engine, that is capable enough to generate 212 PS of maximum power at 14,500 Rpm and 113 Nm of peak torque at 11,000 Rpm. The engine mated with a 6-speed manual transmission gearbox system. The bike rides on an inverted telescopic front forks suspension and an aluminum swingarm on the rear.

The braking is handled by twin disc brakes, M brake 4-piston fixed caliper 5 mm diameter 320 mm on front and 2-piston fixed caliper diameter 220 mm on the rear wheel along with Motorrad ABS pro. The Bike comes with a different mode as well, rain, road, dynamic, race, and race pro, in which ABS pro setting is for, rain, road, dynamic modes and no ABS pro settings for race and race-pro modes. As compared with the standard 1000 RR, the M version could get a lot of carbon fiber to reduce a lot of weight. The Bike tips the scale at just 192 Kg. As of now, BMW Motorrad offers S 1000 RR in three variants, S 1000 RR standard priced at Rs 19.50 lakh, S 1000 RR pro priced at Rs 21.40 lakh, and S 1000 RR Pro MSport priced at Rs 23.75 lakh respectively. The upcoming M 1000 RR obviously positioned at Top of the line of the S 1000 RR sport-bike.
