BMW India announced the launch of their recently launched entry-level sedan, 2-series Gran Coupe petrol variant.

BMW India motors announced that they have launched 2-series gran coupe petrol version. Introduced in the M sport package, the new BMW 220i manufactured at the brand’s Chennai plant and it can be brought to dealerships right away and accompanies by two diesel variants. The 2.0 liter BMW four-cylinder twin-turbo petrol engine unit, which generates 190 HP of maximum power and 280 Nm of peak torque at 1340-4600 Rpm. The transmission duties are performed by an 8-speed Steptronic sport automatic gearbox with a paddle shifting function. It helps to accelerate 0 to 100 kmph in just 7.1 seconds.
The German manufacturer also mentioned that the quick shift control also is updated for rapid changing of gears manually. The long seventh gear keeps the revolution low basically for the low consumption of fuel. At the launch event president of BMW Group India said that the 220i Sport focuses on the powerful uniqueness that suits the requirements of the motorsport fans. Also, with first-class petrol dynamics the higher comfort, sheer driving pleasure every time you drive. The new 220i M sport priced aggressively at, starting from Rs 40.90 lakhs (ex-showroom, introductory price).
The 2-series Gran coupe will be offered in 4 different colors, alpine white, black sapphire, Melbourne red and stormy bay. Also, offers in two different leather upholstery seats option, Sensatec oyster black and Sensatec Black. To attract more buyers BMW offering different packages with the introductory price including, 3years/40,000 km to 10 years/1,00,000 Km package of CBS (condition-based service) and maintenance work. BMW 2 Series Gran coupe comes equipped with features like, frameless doors, LED headlamps, Illuminated trim, 12.3 inch digital instrument cluster, and a host of driver-assist and many safety features.
