In this lockdown period the retail showrooms are closed, in that period many companies have started their online car booking on which many buyers reserved their cars. Many car manufacturers have revealed their data of visits, bookings, enquiries of cars, on their websites.  

As the figures shown by the companies of their sale records of the months May and June HYUNDAI CRETA turns out to be the best-selling SUV of the month May and June with more than 1300 units already delivered, in which more than 60 percent of their bookings are done online on their website. Over 780 HYUNDAI CRETA booked on their online platform. From the launch to this date HYUNDAI CRETA 2020 crossed 20000 mark in just four months from debut on march 16th. The midsize SUV which was launched just a week before nation-wide lockdown has received more than 55000 units booking in four months in which more than 20000 units are booked online. 76 percent of Hyundai’s online booking are for the new CRETA.

Though corona virus outbreak has dulled the market sentiments, sales have shown the Uptick recently after firstunlock. Hyundai CRETA was the best-selling passenger vehicle in the country in May 2020 with 3213 units sold, while these figures are still less than 10000 figure that the previous gen CRETA achieved monthly at its peak.

CRETA diesel proving to be popular choice accounting, 60 percent of the total bookings of CRETA. While some other automakers have lost their interest from diesels vehicles in the Era of BS6, Hyundai trusted their technology and remained committed, this has started to pay dividends for the automaker in mid-size SUV segment. CRETA comes with a 115hp, 1.5Litre diesel engine that is available with manual transmission in all five trims levels- E, EX, S, SX, SX(0)- and a torque convertor automatic gearbox in the top two variants.

The new CRETA 2020 starts at 9.99 lakhs to 17.9 lakhs (ex-showroom), the Hyundai CRETA rivals the Kia Seltos, Nissan kicks, Renault Duster, MG hector and Tata harrier in the Indian market.
