Bajaj Chetak electric Scooter prices are hiked a second time, up to Rs 15,000. Although, no cosmetic and mechanical updates have been made to the Scooter.

Bajaj Auto has yet another price hiked for their sole electric Scooter Chetak, although there are no changes and updates have been made to justifies the Hiked in prices. Bajaj Offers Chetak is electric in two variants – Premium and Urbane. The price for the premium has hiked to Rs 5,000 and now it is priced at Rs 1.20 lakh, on the other hand, the Urbane variant has seen a hiked of Rs 15,000, and now it is priced at Rs 1.15 lakh (ex-showroom). The Scooter comprises features like all LED lightening, includes Headlamps, turn indicator, taillights, a fully digital instrument cluster with smartphone connectivity technology via Bluetooth, a front Disc brakes. 

The Scooter rides on 12-inch alloy wheels on both ends, front as well as on rear end, shod with 90/90 tire at the front and a 90/100 tire at rear (Both Tubeless). The suspension systems are handled by a leading-link-type at the front and a monoshock absorber at the rear. The Chetak electric scooter also features a reverse gear, that enables the rider to draft out from the tight parking spots easily. The Scooter comes with two riding modes – Eco and Sports. Bajaj retails Chetak electric Scooter in two cities across India – Bengaluru, and Pune. Although, the company is planning to expand its electric Scooter network to other metro cities as well. But it might take more time before doing so. Chetak electric Scooter directly rivals the likes of, TVS iQube and Ather 450X, the former is priced at Rs 1.08 lakh and later price ranges between Rs 1.27 lakh to Rs 1.46 lakh.

Bajaj Chetak electric Scooter powered with a 3 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, connected to a 3.8 KW electric motor, which develops a maximum power output of 5.5 PS. The Scooter can deliver the maximum riding range of 95 km in Eco mode and 85 Km in the Sport mode. The Battery pack takes around 5 hours to charge up from 0 to 100 percent with a 5 Amp outlet. The brand offers a warranty of 3 years or 50,000 km on the battery and the electricals are rated IP67, it also features the regenerative braking technology with it, which helps in producing 5 to 10 percent of more riding range for the Scooter.
