Aprilia Maxi-Scooter SXR 125 finally launched in India, based on its bigger siling SXr 160, rival with the Suzuki Maxi-Scooter Burgman 125,

Aprilia India has finally announced the launch of another maxi-Scooter in the 125cc segment. While Aprilia SXR 125 based on SXR 160 which was launched last year in December 2020. The bookings for SXR 125 already begin last month, and still going on and you can book yours from the nearest dealership or online through their official website, with a booking amount of Rs 5,000. Besides the 125cc engine, the design elements are the same as its bigger sibling SXR160, the bodywork, front profile, rear profile identical to 160 cc maxi-scooter, while the LED headlights of SXR 125 inspired from Aprilia RS660 super sports motorcycle.

Upon the launch, Aprilia offers SXR 125 in four paint schemes – Matt’s black, glossy white, Matt’s blue, and Glossy red. SXR 125 rides on 12-inch alloy wheels on front and rear, along with front fork suspension and monoshock rear suspension setup. The Maxi-Scooter features – all LED-lights headlamps and taillamps, digital instrument cluster which displays the odometer, mileage function, time display, digital fuel indicator. The Scooter also features USB charging port and optional Bluetooth connectivity which displays the location of Scooter, raise service concern, alarm features, and post on social media as well.

The braking is handled by a combined braking system along with ventilated disc brakes and a Twin-pot caliper with hydraulic brakes. Which is mandatory for Scooter of 150cc or above, instead of a single-channel ABS system. Aprilia SXR 125 comes powered with the same engine used in SR 125, a three-valve single-cylinder air cooled motor, which belts out a maximum power of 9.5 HP and peak torque of 9.2 Nm. All the elements along with thick chassis construction are made for maximum strength and ride comfort.
