Triton stating in their recent interview that they are planning on making their India debut with their N4 sedan
- The price range could be starting from Rs 35 lakhs
- It will be offered in four different variants
- The EV will be powered with two batteries
US-based electric vehicle brand Triton has recently announced their plans to enter the Indian market. The Debut product for the brand will be the N4 sedan, which is offered with 4 different variants, Namely as N4, N4-S, N4-R, and limited edition N4 GT. The vehicle will be powered using two different battery packs, 74 Kwh and 100 Kwh, capable of delivering a driving claim range of up to 523 km and 629 km. The company heads also, stated that the Indian market is currently in the top three markets globally, and has plans for expansion exponentially.
These plans including setting up a manufacturing unit in India, also making a brand name in the market. In order to be successful in India, Triton has to build a strong brand name, as it is a relatively unknown name at the moment. The rand has to start their talks with Bharat electronics limited for manufacturing their batteries, electronics, and mechanical parts in India so that the company can set its targeted price for the customers in India. If the negotiation can somehow be successful, it would be a great win for the company.
Triton is not the only US-based electric vehicle company that is setting foot in the Indian market. Tesla also beginning to start their production in India this year onwards, as “Tesla registered their R and D center in Bengaluru yesterday“. Although these two companies wouldn’t be direct rivals, as Triton N4 (Rs 35 lakhs expected)sedan price undercut Tesla’s most affordable Model 3(Rs 55 lakhs – Rs 60 lakhs Expected ) by a huge margin.
