Last year we have seen a lot of vehicles getting discontinued due to BS6 emission norms and a lot of vehicles Exits the market due to low demand. Now as we go near to end of 2021, we have put together 8 Gen cars that are discontinued now from the Indian market: –

  • Ford EcoSport

Ford India has finally officially left the Indian market back on 9th September 2021, due to very low demand and high financial losses. Ford India has claimed that they have lost over USD 2 billion. Ford EcoSport was launched back in 2012, as the first compact SUV in the Indian market. Over the years EcoSport has been loved by many customers across the country and has a good sales number as well. But as of now, the Indian compact SUV segment is very crowded as more than 10 SUVs are offered in their space. Due to which sales have come down a little. Having a set of powerful diesel and petrol engines and with high safety standards, EcoSport was the best car in space.

  • Ford Endeavour

The other vehicle is also featured by American manufacturer Ford Endeavour. The endeavor was the most famous SUV from the brand and loved, accepted by lakhs of customers over the years. While over the Decade endeavor didn’t get that major update or facelift and last year after BS6 emission norms Ford had to discontinued its 3.2 Litre oil burner engine. Although, currently ford offered endeavor with 2.0 Litre engine, which was not very accepted by customers.

  • Toyota Yaris

Toyota Kirloskar Motors India has recently discontinued global bestselling Sedan Yaris in the Indian market. Currently, the Indian market is very fond of SUVs, and due to which almost every automaker is launching their best SUVs to boasts their sales. Toyota Yaris was not something that was attracted by Crowd. Moreover, it didn’t master any trait in C-Segment Sedan. Although, the Sedan makes a rival with segment leader Honda City and Maruti Suzuki Ciaz. And Yaris fails to beat these kings in India.

  • Ford Aspire

Sticking to the sedan another American manufacturer car that has been discontinued is Aspire. It is hard to believe that aspire left the market as it was the most equipped value for money Sedan in the segment. However, it couldn’t beat Maruti Suzuki Dzire and Honda Amaze. In addition to plenty of features list, the sedan has very amazing driving dynamics. Although, it is now yet another amazing car that was used to be offered in India.

  • Ford Figo

Another car is Ford Figo which was the amazing hatchback ever offered in India. The Hatch has great driving dynamics, amazing safety, best build quality, and powerful engine as well. Upon the launch, back in a day, Ford Figo was the most powerful hatchback, powered with 1.2 Litre four-cylinder petrol develops 92 PS of power and 100 PS of maximum power.

  • Ford Freestyle

The Ford Freestyle is one of the best combinations of the hatch and SUV Crossover in India. This crossover has amazing driving dynamics as well as an amazing robust stance as SUV. SUV-like stance and as practical gets 190 mm ground clearance.

  • Skoda Rapid Rider Plus

Skoda Rapid Rider Plus was one of the best sedans of the all-time, in terms of design, driving dynamics, and features. Starting from its USP, its heart, and its engine. It comes powered by a 1.0 Litre TSI motor which generates 110 PS of maximum power. Although, the best value for money variant has been discontinued from India.

  •  Hyundai Grand I10

The only vehicle on the list was not discontinued due to low sales but because of its entry-level successor launch. That being said, Korean manufacturers pulled the plug on the Grand I10 in January 2021. Though just before it was discontinued Grand I10 was value for money offering. One it was cheap and also it was decent equipped as well.
