The brand-new 5th Gen Honda city has finally been launched in India with a price segment starting from ₹10.9 lakh (Petrol MT variant). It is the BS6 version of the old 4th Gen Honda city with new improved design and features. It will be competing against a lot of the new arrivals including the bestselling sedan of Hyundai, the Hyundai Verna.


The new 5th gen Honda city comes in two variants

  • 121hp 145nm 1.5-litre petrol engine 
  • 100hp 200nm 1.5-litre diesel engine

the petrol variant comes with the I-VTECH engine while the diesel comes with a 4 cyls DOHC, naturally aspirated unit, which is an upgrade from the 4th gen Honda city that came with a SOHC unit. Both variants come with a 6-speed manual gearbox with an exception of petrol variant that also comes with automatic transmission gearbox.
