The year 2020 has been the year of SUVs and there are many new SUV launching in 2021. With every coming year the hype for SUVs doesn’t seem to dwindle. And the manufacturers won’t let it happen either, with introductions of SUVs in every range be it compact, sub compact or large and giving features ahead of their current segment. There are many SUVs set to launch in 2021 in every category. So, let us introduce you to Top 5 new SUV launching in 2021.
Toyota Fortuner Facelift
Fortuner has been the dominating contender for the large SUV segment for quite a long time. Even though the Fortuner is the dominating contender of the segment it doesn’t look that well compared to all the recent addition to this segment. The Fortuner seems to be getting left out in the competition due to its non up-to date features. And to close this increasing gap Toyota has decided to introduce a facelift version for the Fortuner.
The new Fortuner has been said to carry new visual tweaks for the exterior and some feature tweaks for the interior of the car with increased size of infotainment system and many more.
Only a few weeks ago Renault announced the trailer and concept photos of its new sub-4-meter SUV the Renault Kiger. Renault being the sister company of Nissan tries to copy the success of the newly introduced Magnite with its own Kiger. The car is said to be based on the same platform as the Magnite. And would be getting the design inspirations from Renaults other models. Similar to the Magnite, Kiger’s main selling point will be its ow price point.
The all-new Kiger is believed to be a hit seeing the funky and attractive looks of the car and the aggressive price segment.

The TATA Gravitas was meant to be launched in 2020 but due to the obvious reasons the launch was shifted to the early 2021. The TATA Gravitas is the three-row version of the previously introduced TATA Harrier. As announced by the company in the 2020 Auto Expo Gravitas is production ready and will be launching shortly.
The Tata Gravitas will be available in the same 2.0-litre Diesel engine with the company announcing there may also be a petrol version of it. That will be depending upon the market demand. Other aspects of the car would be very similar to the TATA Harrier except the length of the car (obviously) even the features would closely resemble the former.
Next Gen Mahindra XUV500
With the launch of many new SUVs this year many old ones getting a new makeover like Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Tata Harrier and many more. These cars all comes with high end feature list and a modern design. Comparing to these things the Mahindra XUV500 seems a bit old and outdated with features and design nowhere to be compared.
Due to the above-mentioned reasons the car is performing bad at the market every month. Seeing this the car makers have decided to launch the updated version for the XUV500. The car has been spied on many times in 2020 and is expected to be launched really soon. The new version carries minor exterior design tweaks like the new designed door handle and bumper and few interior tweaks like the new D-shaped steering wheel and improved comfortable seats.
Citroen C5 Aircross
Citroen is a French automobile manufacturing brand all set to enter the Indian market with its C5 Aircross SUV. The car was said to be launching in this year but due to the pandemic the company shifted the launch to the next year. The launch now may happen in the mid-2021.
Now looking at the car, the C5 Aircross is based on the same platform as the EMP2’s. the Indian spec model of the C5 Aircross expected to be offered with two engine options the 1.6-litre turbo petrol engine and the 2.0-litre diesel engine options coupled with either a 6-speed manual or an 8-speed automatic transmission gearbox.
