It’s just been 20 days since the start of bookings for the third iteration of the Hyundai i20 and with each iteration, of the car the company doesn’t seem to amaze us. The new Hyundai i20 has left all the competition to dust by achieving a booking of whooping 20,000 in just a mere 20-day mark with over 4000 units.

Hyundai i20 first made its debut back in October 2008 and became an instant hit with its modern look and top of the line interiors, since then the Hyundai i20 has received two more generation upgrades and with every upgrade, the car has improved drastically, and there is no exception to the 2020 version the i20 which has left all the competitions behind by providing features that are nowhere to be found in that segment. 

New Hyundai i20 design and features

The new i20 measures a length of 3995mm, a width of 1775mm, and a height of 1505mm with a wheelbase measuring 2580mm. The major difference one can spot between the 3rd gen and the other gen is a sporty look and an addition of a unique sleek cascading grille, 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. For the rear end, the car rocks a butterfly wings shaped taillight and a chrome Hyundai symbol above the taillight. The new i20 can be obtained in six different colors – Polar White, Metallic Copper, Fiery Red, Typhoon Silver, Starry Night, and Titan Grey with an exception of two different dual-tone color variants polar white with dark roof and fiery red with a dark roof.

For the engine variations, the new Hyundai i20 comes in 24 different variants which are divided based on the feature (Magna, Sportz, Asta and Asta(O)), based on fuel used (petrol and diesel), and based on the engine capacities (1.2-liter petrol, 1.0-liter turbocharged, 1.5-liter diesel) and these engines are coupled with manual transmission gearbox, CVT automatic transmission gearbox(for 1.2-liter petrol engine) or DCT automatic transmission gearbox(for 1.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine).
