Royal Enfield yet again finished at the top of the sales chart for 350cc motorcycles in the Indian market for April 2021.

  • Royal Enfield dispatched 23,298 units of Classic 350 in April 2021
  • Five out of four motorcycles are from the Royal Enfield brand
  • Honda dispatched 2,969 units of CB350 in April 2021

In the Indian market, Royal Enfield has the widest portfolio of 350cc compared to any other bike brands thus, RE took advantage of this and led the 350cc space for many years, making a mark in the premium and more powerful space in the motorcycle’s segments. Although, last month wasn’t different to any other months, as in the Top 5 sold 350cc motorcycles sales chart Royal Enfield dominated yet again, as it sold 23,298 units of Classic 350 last month against 31,696 units sold in March 2021, with 26.5 per cent of decline in sales volume in MoM basis.  

Bullet 350 on the other hand has moved up the position in the chart compared to March 2021. The Classic 350 posted 9,908 units in April 2021, when compared on an MoM basis it gets positive sales growth of 2.22 per cent as the bike registered 9,693 units in March 2021. The third position was taken by yet another bike from Royal Enfield, which is the Meteor 350 as it garnered 7844 units last month against 10,596 units in March 2021, registering 25.97 per cent sales decline on an MoM basis. The fourth position Is held by RE Electra 350, as it registered 631 units in April 2021, against 4,914 units in March 2021 and suffering a 26.11 per cent of sales decline on an MoM basis.

The one and only bike that came in the Top 5 bikes sold in 350cc space last month other than RE were the Honda CB350, which registered 2,969 units over last month against 4,302 units in March 2021, which received a 30.99 percent negative sales growth on an MoM basis. As for the future prospects of the Royal Enfield brand it has many bikes in its pipeline, which includes next generation of classic 350 alongside retro-styled Roadster 650cc and the new Hunter 350. All these bikes are expected to launch in this year itself.
