2022 new-generation Maruti Suzuki Swift, per reports will be lighter in weight, and built on a newly designed platform.

A few days ago, a media report from japan stated that the 2022 New-generation Suzuki Swift will be built on a new and lighter chassis, than the ongoing model with improved driving characteristics and performance. Also, last year Suzuki has announced the debut of the Swift Sport hybrid for the global markets, powered with a 1.4 Litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine with a 48-volt Mild-hybrid system. While, for the new-generation swift, the interior likely to feature bigger infotainment, along with a head-up display.

The 2022 New-generation Suzuki Swift will also get mechanical revisions, along with a tuned-up suspension system for a sportier driving experience. A high-performance dual-sensor braking system will also be offered. Along with new advanced safety features and technologies. The report further mentioned that the exterior revision will also take place, the new front fascia will get a newly designed split headlamp cluster and new LED DRLs as well. The front grille has a V-Shaped design, along with redesigned foglamps with more aggressive looks. New-generation Suzuki Swift likely to debut early next year, while Swift Sport will debut in 2023.

In India, the compact hatchback Swift is one of the bestselling and best-looking models from Suzuki. The current generation Suzuki Swift was showcased at the 2018 Auto Expo. Earlier, this year just a few months ago Maruti Suzuki launched the Swift FY2021 in the Indian market, with exterior front fascia revision and few safety updates like ISOFIX child seat, cruise control, along with Dual-tone paint scheme for Top-end trims. Little tuned-up mechanical updates are also done. The 2021 Swift comes powered by a 1.2 Litre Dualjet petrol engine, which rated at 90HP/113Nm and paired with 5-Speed MT or an optional 5-Speed AMT.
