The 2021 Yamaha Sniper 155 Sports and Sniper 155R launched in the Philippines with a price range between PHP 114,900 and PHP 120,900, which translated into INR Rs 1.74 lakh and Rs 1.83 lakh. The moped scooter looks so stylist and sportier courtesy of its sleep front and rear profile design. It features a split multi-piece headlamp setup and LED taillights. The Japanese manufacturer states that the design of the moped scooter has been inspired by Yamaha YZF-R1 liter-class motorcycle. However, the scooter doesn’t feature floorboard instead of this it equipped with footpegs.

The Sniper 155 is based on an underbone chassis system, while the suspension duties are performed by pair of telescopic front forks and a rear monoshock. Other than that the scooter boasts features like an LED instrument cluster, all LED lighting. Yamaha Sniper 155 is offered with three color paint scheme – yellow hornet, Race blue, and black raven, while Sniper 155R offered with a single-paint job Matte titan and featured better braking compared with the standard version. Yamaha Sniper 155 compete against Honda RS150 and Suzuki Raider 150.

As for performance the Moped scooter Sniper 155 and Sniper 155R come powered by a 155-cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine, which belts out 17.9 PS of maximum power at 9500 Rpm and 14.4 Nm of peak torque at 8000Rpm. The engine gets the VVA (variable valve actuation) technology which further improves its overall power delivery. The powertrain comes paired with a 6-speed manual transmission gearbox system, along with a slipper and assists clutch as standard. While the Indian launch is quite impossible as there is no Moped space in the Indian market, and the price tag for the scooper is way too high to launch in a market like India.
