2021 Mercedes-Benz flagship sedan S-class new updated version has been launched in the Indian market, price starting from Rs 2.17 crore ex-showroom.

German luxury car manufacture Mercedes-Benz flagship sedan S-Class Launch edition has been introduced in the Indian market, with a price range starting from Rs 2.17 crore ex-showroom, Pan India. The sedan will be brought through the CBU route into the country. The seventh-generation S-class has already been introduced in the international market last year and it will enter the local assembly at a later date. However, compared with the S-class predecessor, the newer version gets a host of changes and new updates inside out.

2021 Mercedes-Benz S-Class Launch Edition offered in two variants – 400d 4Matic and 450 4Matic, former priced at Rs 2.17 crore and later priced at Rs 2.19 crore. S-class features five different color paint schemes across India, which include Designo diamond white, Onyx black, Anthracic blue, Rubellite red, and emerald green. S-class Lunch edition comes with new LED headlamps enable with project symbols and guidelines, pop-out door handles, rear-wheel steering, and AMG treatment of sporty wheels and styling bits. The sedan will compete against Audi A8 and BMW 7-series.

AS for interior it comes equipped with a large 12.8-inch infotainment system with OLED touchscreen along with voice and facial recognition, 12.3-inch digital cluster, OTA updates, 320GB storage, 64-color ambient lighting, Burmester audio system, and much more. AS for performance, it comes power by a 6-cylinder turbo diesel engine, that rated at 326HP and 700Nm, and a 6-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine, which belts out 326HP of power and 500Nm of torque. The powertrain comes mated with a 9-speed automatic transmission system, sending power to all wheels.
