2021 Jawa 42 has been launched in the Indian market, with mere exterior and interior changes, although the power output goes a little up.

Back in 2018 classic legend, Jawa was again launched with three products Jawa, 42, and Perak. The Jawa and 42 rivals with the royal-Enfield Entry-level bikes, while Perak has a unique position in the Indian market. The 42 has seen its mid-life facelift with some new accessories added and blacked out Design. 42 Dual-channel ABS variant is priced at Rs 1.84 lakh (ex-showroom). Although, the previous pre-mid-life model continues to be on sale in India costs around Rs 1.63 lakh and Rs 1.72 lakh, for single and dual-channel ABS. The 2021 Jawa 42 comes unchanged mechanically but it gets some updates on the exterior design and looks.

The 2021 Jawa 42 gets dual exhaust pipes, engine, rear twin shocks, telescopic front forks, and blacked headlamp casing along with a white rim strip. Also, it gets a flyscreen and no changes have been made to the retro bike instrument cluster. Jawa 42 can be differentiated from Jawa classic with less use of chrome on the body, it gives sportier looks and a more modern appearance. The rear-view mirror can tilt as well and the headlamp gets a black mask as well.   

2021 Jawa 42 continues to use a 293 cc single-cylinder fuel-injected liquid-cooled DOHC motor engine, which develops 26.5 PS of maximum power output and 27 Nm of peak torque when mated with a 6-speed transmission gearbox. As compared with the ongoing model of 42, the new 2021 version gets 0.8 PS more power, and the motor is said to be more refined than the earlier one. Jawa 42 built on a double cradle chassis, and rides on an 18-inch front and 17-inch rear wheel. Jawa 42 has a multi-spokes black wheel and boasts of a 280 mm front disc and a 153 mm rear disc.
