Isuzu Motors India today announced the launch of the BS6 compliant version of MU-X alongside with V-Cross and Hi-Lander in the Indian market. MU-X was introduced in our domestic market back in 2017, and it was discontinued last year due to BS6 emission norms effect in April 2020. While, in the meantime, the Japanese manufacturer has updated MU-X and launched the new generation of MU-X in the southeast ASEAN markets. That being said, the Indian model gets a few mechanical updates to meet the BS6 emission norms before coming here. 2021 MU-X price ranges between Rs 33.23 lakh to Rs 35.19 lakh ex-showroom.

2021 BS6 Isuzu MU-X available in two variants – 2WD AT and 4WD AT, the former priced at Rs 33.23 lakh and the latter priced at Rs 35.19 lakh ex-showroom. The Full-Size SUV goes up against, Toyota Fortuner, MG Gloster, Ford Endeavour, and Mahindra Alturas G4. Although, the rivals have more advanced and practical features MU-X continues to boast its rugged characteristics. As for the exterior, the front fascia is inspired by a D-Max V-Cross pickup truck with few updates to meet the norms.
2021 BS6 Isuzu MU-X continues to power with a 3.0 Litre four-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine, which belts out 177 HP of maximum power and 380 Nm of peak torque. While the powertrain comes paired with a 6-speed torque converter, which transfers powers to either 2WD and 4WD. The four-wheel-drive system enables operation, two-high, four-high, and four-low ranges, along with an uphill and downhill drive system. MU-X equipped with features like a touchscreen infotainment system, Bluetooth connectivity, traction control, ABS with EBD, ESC, reverse camera, cruise control, and so on.
