However, the new financial year for the automobile sector is been very tough, just like the last year’s FY. Due to another wave of virus the Indian market again goes through the varying degree of lockdown in different states at different timings. Although, things will improve in one way or another. While Automakers has a lot of bikes in their pipeline to launch this year itself. A lot of new bikes are slated to launch this year in the Indian market and we put together the 10 upcoming bikes in India by Christmas 2021: –
1. 2021 Apache RR310
TVS Apache flagship motorcycle RR310 was earlier scheduled to receive a facelift this year but got delayed due to a crisis. As we expected that the new version will make its way to the Indian market soon in the coming months. The bike is likely to offer a new adjustable suspension system along with engine refinement with better performance and better fuel economy. Other than that, all the things will remain unchanged as per reports.
2. New-generation Royal Enfield Classic 350
Royal Enfield classic 350 is likely to go under generation change this year and expected to feature few updates and a new engine. The classic 350 is the best-selling model from the Chennai-based manufacturer Indian line-up so far. The new generation classic 350 test mules have been spied many times in India, while the launch timeline hasn’t been revealed yet by the officials but it will take place in Mid-2021. The bike is likely to power with a Meteor 349 cc single-cylinder air/liquid-cooled engine, with 20.4 PS of power and 27 Nm of torque.
3. Royal Enfield 650 Cruiser
Since the last year, the test mules have been spied on the roads, but no one can identify the bike name of the expected engine. While this year the brand officially announced that the manufacturer is working on launching the new 650 cruiser bike in the Indian market based on Interceptor and Continental GT 650cc engine. The expected launch date is for late this year. The bike will be powered by a 650-cc parallel-twin engine, which belts out 47.65 PS of power and 52 Nm of peak torque.
4. Royal Enfield Hunter 350
The Chennai-based manufacturer has a lot of bikes in its pipeline for launch this year. Another one is Hunter 350 roadster which will be based on a new J-platform and powered with the same Meteor 350cc powertrain as the upcoming new-generation classic 350. The speculations suggest that the launch could take place in late 2021 or early 2022.
5. Next generation KTM RC200/RC390
The next generation KTM RC series is been working for quite a lot in recent time. The new series RC200 and RC390 expected to launch this year in July itself. Although, the official timeline hasn’t been confirmed by officials yet. The new generation likely to features some bulk changes which include suspension and chassis as well. Although, the new generation KTM RC series will be powered with the same engine as its predecessor,10 upcoming bikes in 2021.
6. Bajaj Pulsar NS250 and Pulsar RS250
As per reports one of the biggest two-wheeler manufacturers in India, Bajaj Auto has been planning to launch the next generation series of Pulsar in the Indian market. Test mules have been spotted many times on roads of both naked versions and faired versions, and both likely to powered with a brand 250cc powertrain. Both the pulsar expected to launch early next year.
7. Yamaha FZ-X
Japanese manufacturer planning to launch new retro-styled bikes in the Indian market. The FZ-X production-ready version has been spotted on road a few months back and likely to launch in the coming months this year itself. The FZ-X will be based on FZ-Fi and powered by a 149cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine developing 12.4PS of maximum power and 13.3 Nm of peak torque respectively.
8. KTM 490 series
Pierre mobility the parent company of KTM has revealed that the manufacture is working on 5 new models of 490 for India and global markets. The first one of the series will be 490 Duke and the launch will take place late this year, followed by RC490 and 490 adventures, which will be launched next year. there will also be Supermoto and an enduro model but they won’t make it to India.
9. CF Moto 650GT
CF Moto has recently revealed a teaser of its 650GT, which leads to speculation that the BS6 compliant 650GT will be coming to India soon. The bike comes powered by a 649cc parallel-twin motor liquid-cooled engine, which is rated at 62.54 PS of maximum power and 58.5 Nm of peak torque in its BS4 guise. The powertrain for BS6 hasn’t been revealed yet.
10. Husqvarna Vitpilen 200 and Svartpilen 200
Husqvarna the parent company of Bajaj working to expand its Indian line-up with the introduction of Vitpilen 200 and Svartpilen 200. Both the bikes will be featuring the same powertrain, although Vitpilen 200 test mule has been spotted in India last year July. While it is also speculated that husky’s 200 is also coming to India and the expected launch timeline is for this year.
